The TE-5-MD-HC is used as a non-submersible or in-line pump for circulating highly corrosive acids, alkalis, solvents, brine, plating solutions, sterile solutions, and other highly corrosive chemicals and solutions compatible with the pump’s material of construction.
The TE-5-MD-HC features the patented Little Giant magnetic drive pump design driven by an enclosed, fan-cooled permanent split capacitor motor. The motor is thermally protected to prevent dangerous overheating which can result in possible motor failure. The volute, housing, and impeller are constructed of glass-filled Ryton® with carbon bushing added to the impeller for added corrosion resistance. This pump is designed to handle fluid temperatures to 200 °F (93.3 °C).
