High pressure and fire service pumps, including two stage, hydroseeder and IPT high pressure models in 1-1/2 inch through 3 inch sizes.
High pressure pumps trade flow for head. Where a general transfer pump moves a lot of water a short distance up, these are built to push a smaller volume much higher or much further, which is what fire service, hydroseeding and long-run irrigation need.
Two stage models take that further by passing water through a second impeller, building pressure a single impeller could not reach. Sizing is done on the pressure required at the nozzle or outlet plus the friction of the hose run, not on the pump’s maximum rating, and our guide to pump curves and duty points covers finding that figure. Choosing an AMT pump for the job
AMT builds engine driven and high pressure pumps for work that happens away from a power supply. The range splits cleanly by what the pump has to move and how hard it has to push.
- Engine driven transfer: general dewatering, site water and tank transfer where volume matters more than pressure.
- High pressure: fire protection, wash down and any run that has to push water uphill or through long hose.
