The 1-MD Series is a non-submersible, in-line pump that handles most mildly corrosive fluids such as low concentrations of acids and alkalies in the pH range of 5 to 9 at fluid temperatures up to 150 ° F. The pump’s patented magnetic drive design is designed to resist corrosion, chemical attack, and abrasive wear.
Little Giant’s 1-MD Series comes ready for immediate use and can easily be installed in any position. Featuring a 1/70 horsepower open FC motor style, the pump’s housing is completely encapsulated in chemical-resistant plastic and fixed to the impeller. The front and rear thrust washers are utilized as wear bearings and do not revolve. This helps prevent wear on the shaft for added longevity.
