Sewage pumps exist for one situation: a bathroom, laundry or fixture sitting below the sewer or septic line, where waste has to be lifted rather than flowing away. They pass 2 inch solids, which is what separates them from effluent and sump pumps and why substituting one of those fails quickly.

Packaged systems come with the basin, pump, float and cover matched, which is usually the right choice for a new below-grade bathroom because it removes the sizing and sealing guesswork. Where the fixture sits well below the line or the run is long, a grinder may be the better answer.
