These jobs look similar and are not. A pond pump moves large volume at low height to turn the water over and feed a filter. A fountain pump moves modest flow to a decent height through a nozzle, so it is built for head rather than volume. A pool cover pump does something different again, clearing rain and snowmelt off a winter cover before the weight damages it.
