Semi-corrosive covers liquids aggressive enough that ordinary metal and standard plastics will not last, but not so aggressive that they need the highest specification wetted materials. Polypropylene handles a wide range of that middle ground at a sensible cost.

Because these are sealless, there is no mechanical seal to attack and no shaft passing through the casing, which removes the most common leak path in chemical service. What still matters is checking the liquid against the wetted materials at your actual concentration and temperature rather than in the abstract, since ratings move with both.
